About us:

ShopCraft is a Buffalo gallery and gift shop featuring 100% Buffalo artisans. We are located in the heart of the Elmwood Village in Buffalo, NY. Our artisans represent a wide array of handmade gifts and art. 

 ShopCraft is hiring a part-time Creative Associate for 10-20 hours/week. This position requires availability on weekday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Display a warm, welcoming, attentive demeanor towards customers.
  • Learn about each artist and their products, including how they are made/designed, and be able to relay that information to customers.
  • Assist customers and recommend the best products for their needs.
  • Complete payment transactions and maintain customer contact info and custom request tracking.
  • Handle merchandising and display work throughout the store.
  • Monitor and audit stock levels while restocking the store as needed.
  • Receive and label new inventory.
  • Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of the store throughout the day and before opening/after closing.
  • Monitor and fulfill online orders, including shipping.

Education & Experience:

  • 2+ years of retail experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using Square preferred or a basic understanding of POS systems.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize customer needs.

Pay & Requirements:

  • Pay will start at $17 per hour.
  • Candidates must have availability on weekday evenings, Saturday, and Sunday.
