Where can customers follow your work?

How did you end up in Buffalo? Are you a Buffalo native?
I am a Buffalo native, and grew up in South Buffalo.

How did you become a ShopCraft member?
I went in to ShopCraft to look for gifts for a “local artist” themed bridal shower, and starting talking to Christa about all the products and how I was also a maker. We were both at the 2018 Queen City Market where she came up to me and asked if I was interested in becoming a member, which of course, I was!

What is the most meaningful thing a customer/client has said to you about your work?
My favorite thing to make is my custom 5 strand baby blankets. I love hearing how these blankets become a staple in my customer’s children’s lives.

What about Buffalo inspires you?
I truly love the community and the pride everyone feels being from Buffalo.

In what way(s) is your work and/or lifestyle environmentally friendly?
I do my best to use whatever scraps of yarn I can, making scrap scarves and blankets instead of discarding remnants that are too small for other projects. I also accept yarn stashes from other makers who are trying to declutter or will no longer use what yarn they have.

How do you order your wings?
Mild, extra blue cheese. And when I’m feeling fancy, BBQ on the grill.

What does it mean to you to be a member of an artist collective like ShopCraft?
I’m so excited to be apart of this group of local artists and to be a part of the Buffalo community.

Describe your creative process in as much detail as possible:
I love to use color and texture in all my pieces. I also love making things that are as warm and cozy as humanly possible. I base most of my designs and projects based on that.

Anything else you’d like to share with the world?
I started crocheting and selling my pieces in order to donate to the Wilmot Cancer Center in Rochester, NY, where my best friend was treated during her battle with Leukemia. She passed away the day before my wedding, but even though she’s gone, doing this in her honor has helped me cope with her loss as well as open several opportunities, including becoming a member of ShopCraft.
