OUR BAGS
- All of our handle bags are made from 100% recycled content, with 95% of the content coming from post consumer sources.
- They are manufactured in the United States. This ensures a reduced carbon footprint when shipping.
- We never use plastic bags in effort to reduce plastic pollution and the demand for plastic. We do keep a stash of “previously used” plastic bags in the shop in case one is really needed (for those times when a customer has walked to the shop, and suddenly it is a torrential downpour!).
- We always encourage our customers to bring their own bags! We now offer a 10 cents discount on your purchase if you bring your own bag!
We recommend:
- Reusing the handle bags as gift bags as long as possible before recycling them.
- Reusing the flat bags as wrap if possible, and then recycling them.
OUR BOXES
- All of our gift boxes are made from 100% recycled content, from post consumer sources.
- Our jewelry boxes are made from 95% recycled content.
- They are manufactured in the United States. This ensures a reduced carbon footprint when shipping.
We recommend:
- Reusing the boxes for gifts or storage.
- If you must discard of them, please recycle.
OUR TISSUE PAPER
- Is made from 100% Post Industrial Recycled Fibers in the United States.
We recommend:
- Reusing the the tissue paper for storing or shipping breakables.
- Reuse is the best option for tissue paper because it is not recyclable in most municipal facilities. Because of this, we use it sparingly.
WHEN WE SHIP
- We use reused boxes and envelopes.
- We use reused bubble wrap.
- Have some bubble wrap but don’t have a use for it? Bring it by, we will be happy to give it another use.
