Art Chicks United is a collective of Western New York women artists who believe that creativity grows stronger through encouragement, shared knowledge, and genuine support. While each artist works in a different medium, the group was built on friendship, honest critique, and the belief that artists do better when they lift each other up.
The exhibit brings together the work of local artists Barb Schang, Holly Wentlent, Marjorie Bennett, Melissa Buckley, Susan M. Palys, and Yvonne Stoklosa,. Each artist brings her own voice and style, but together the work reflects the spirit behind the group.
The Strength Between Us features multiple types of media including watercolors, pen and ink, found object collage with textiles, fused and stained glass and block printing.
The exhibition opens March 13 at 5pm and runs through April 4. The Gallery at ShopCraft is open Thursday – Saturday from 11a – 6p.
