Describe your creative process in as much detail as possible:
I spend a great deal of time researching and just eyeing up the pieces during the process. I get a bit obsessed with the design process and want to make sure that each piece is beautiful. I wouldn’t make anything that I wouldn’t have in my own home.
What does it mean to you to be a member of an artist collective like ShopCraft?
I feel that it is an honor to be among so many talented people. I love to look at the work people do and what they create because I appreciate the time and effort put in.

Love BBQ wings a little extra crispy, but am a sucker for Jamaican Jerk wings.

I love it any time someone gets excited to give one of my items as a gift, and the recipient takes the time to send a photo of it displayed in their home.
If you could share a piece of advice with people who think they are ‘not creative’, or don’t think their art is ‘good enough’, what would it be?
Just put it out there! You never know what someone else’s tastes are. And get involved in the maker community because you can learn so much either from the creative stance or the business end of it.

Tell us a joke:
What time did the man go to the dentist? Tooth hurt-y. – I don’t know why, but I crack up to myself when I take the kids to the dentist and pull that one out. It’s lame, but I’m corny like that.
What is your most prized possession?
My grandfather’s old oak desk that I use every single day in my home office. I refinished it and stained it. It is gorgeous and extremely well built.
